North Beach at Asbury Park

Re-envisioning history at this storied Jersey Shore community

Paramount Homes' Mediterranean-inspired home communities, the Monterey, the Barcelona and the Seville, are key components to the revival of Asbury Park, the shore town immortalized by Bruce Springsteen. Mary Cook & Associates designed the three lobbies and other common areas of these buildings.

The Barcelona common areas use clean line furniture and light fixtures create a modern feel. Distinctive finishes include the combination of honed limestone and a bronze metallic tile inset on the floor and granite clad walls at the elevator lobby. The look is completed with the custom millwork surrounding the fireplace and concierge counter. 

The Monterey and Seville lobbies offer views of the ocean and boardwalk and employ architectural details such as curved walls and arched niches. These details are accentuated by a plaster finish suggestive of classic Italian fresco finishes, as well as custom millwork integrating specially-made scrolled iron grilles.
