RIVER PLACE AT BUTLER
Character-inspired models are a catalyst for sales
Heartstone Development's residential community in Butler, New Jersey, sold an
incredible 30 percent of its 68 two-bedroom duplexes in the five weeks following
the introduction of three character-inspired model residences designed by Mary
Cook & Associates. The starting point for the design of the three models was based
on fictitious people created by the firm.
For example, the Chelsea model was designed around the lifestyle of professional
sisters, Aimee and Karen, who are in their 30s. The feel is young, urban and fresh
with light wood tones, rich model furnishings and radiant textures.
The innovative creative process was a stunning success and helped the firm's client
sell homes by providing a distinct vision that a variety of people could truly relate to.
