Hawthorn Woods Country Club

Demonstrating the Allure of Suburban Life

Prospective buyers visiting Hawthorn Woods Country Club expect certain things: an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, a state-of-the-art community clubhouse and fitness center, heated platform tennis courts, and walking trails. Most importantly, they expect to see housing options that reflect their lifestyles and interests, allowing them to make the most of living at a country club, with or without the outside amenities. Mary Cook & Associates designed the last model at Hawthorn Woods during a different economic climate, and buyer needs and expectations have changed significantly since. Toll Brothers realized this, and asked the firm to return when the Columbia model was built in mid-2011. Outfitted for an active family, the model was designed to show visitors how the space adapts for work, play, and everyday life, including entertaining options. The design focuses on clean lined traditional pieces, a light, neutral color palette with natural textures, and relevant accessories that appeal to buyers with family-centric values and modern sensibilities.
