Just minutes from Manhattan, Maxwell Place condominium in Hoboken, New Jersey, offers upscale living with a strong appeal to young professionals. The firm designed the interiors of the common spaces in the building, including the residents' lounge, corridors, lobbies, elevator landings, children's playroom and fitness center, including the massage room and restrooms. The children's playroom, much-praised by residents, sparks the imagination with playful red and pink hues, stuffed creatures, oversized chalkboard and a play kitchen.

The client objective was to create a modern and inviting space for residents to unwind and gather. The designers achieve this with warm vibrant colors and clean-line furniture in soft textures and bold patterns. The residents' lounge and bar area is completed with a fireplace, big-screen television, pool table and wet bar. The residents' lounge offers inspiring views of Manhattan and is defined by the S-shaped bar, complemented by a tiered ceiling and the accent-metal penny tiled floor helps create the illusion of movement within the space. A recessed architectural mirror behind the bar further highlights the views of Manhattan's cityscape.
