Clubhouse Design Creates Authentic Tie to the Regional Culture
The Boardroom Magazine: April 01, 2009
Mary Cook describes the design process at Ridge Creek Golf Club in Dinuba, California. Creating a space that reflected the local demographic was very important in this project, and this article describes how the MCA team approached the issue. By immersing themselves in local culture, discovering area antique shops and artisans, and reading about Dinuba’s politics, history, and natural offerings, the team was able to design a relaxing space that members and guests could identify with. J. Edward Todd, Dinuba’s city manager, says that the clubhouse interior design was pivotal in creating a sophisticated golf destination in California’s central valley.
